Overview
Arba Minch means Forty Springs, taking its name from the bubbling streams that cover the groundwater forest occupying the flats of the town. Nech Sar National Park is the natural habitat for a recorded 188 species of birds and the animals are able to roam free amidst 514 square meters of savannah, dry bush and groundwater forest. Lake Chamo is one of the most famous Rift Valley lakes and a great place for observing reputedly the world’s most spectacular concentration of giant crocodiles! You will also see hippos and enjoy watching native fishermen using traditional fishing methods on the Lake.

In the morning drive through Butajira to Arbaminch. En route visit the Tiya Stelae park registered by UNESCO. In the afternoon visit the village of the Dorze people, famous for their intricately woven bamboo huts and weaving of traditional clothes. Meal: Breakfast Overnight: Lodge/Hotel

In the morning boat trip on Lake Chamo where crocodiles can be seen in abundance. This place is locally known as the “crocodile market” since several crocodiles can be seen at a time. Hippos and plenty of birds can also be seen. Lake Chamo is part of the Netch Sar National Park. In the afternoon walk around 40 springs and stay at nature Meal: Breakfast Overnight: Lodge/Hotel

In the morning start driving back to Addis. En route stop at the Rift Valley lakes noted for their prolific bird life. Some of the Rift Valley lakes are incorporated in Abyiata-Shalla National Park. Then continue your drive to Addis admiring beautiful nature and land scape. Transfer to the airport if you have international flight Meal: Breakfast “End of the tour”
